BEAST Lacrosse was formed in 2021 with the vision in mind to provide lacrosse at an affordable cost to multiple different age groups and skill levels all while having some of the games top players teach our areas youth to better their game!

COACHES AND DIRECTORS


Scott More - President of BEAST Lacrosse

More is a native of East Aurora, NY and played his college lacrosse at Alfred State College (NJCAA) and nationally ranked St. John Fisher University (NCAA D3).  More went on to become the Head Coach for East Aurora High School leading them to 5 section finals appearances, 2 division titles, 2 section titles, and a far west championship in 9 years.  More also founded East Aurora Lacrosse Association (NYS 501c3) and has been the president of BEAST Lacrosse since its inception in 2021.


Andrew Belica - Director of Program Development/Premier Director

Belica is a native of Orchard Park, NY.  Belica played his college lacrosse for Alfred University (NCAA D3) and Medialle College (NCAA D3).  Belica also grew up playing box lacrosse with the Tuscarora Tomahawks program   Belica has coached with and for many different programs throughout WNY including St. Francis, Nichols, Orchard Park, and is the current Head Coach for Timon St. Jude High School.  Belica has also taken his coaching abilities to the NCAA level while he was the assistant coach for Hilbert College (NCAA D3).  Belica is also a director and Head Coach for Buffalo Lacrosse Academy.


Head Coach

Dhane is a native Kitchener, Ontario.  Smith began his career in 2009 with the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League where he won the Green Gael Trophy as the league's MVP in 2012 of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League, where he won the Green Gael Trophy as the league's MVP in 2012.  Smith has also played his entire his entire NLL season with the Buffalo Bandits where he was named league MVP in '16 and '22.  Smith also won the NLL championship in '23.  Smith is also currently the inside lacrosse #1 ranked player in the NLL.  Smith also plays with the Carolina Chaos of the PLL where he won the PLL Championship in 2021.  Smith has been named to the PLL All-Pro team and is ranked in the top 50 in the league for 2023.  Smith has been the BEAST Lacrosse Head Coach since its inception in 2021.


Head Coach

Byrne is a native of New Wesminster, British Columbia.  Byrne played his college ball at Nassau CC (NJCAA) and Hofstra University (NCAA D1).  Byrne was taken first overall in the 2016 Western Lacrosse Association draft by the Burnaby Lakers.  Byrne was then drafted 1st overall in 2017 in the NLL draft to the Buffalo Bandits.  Byrne then was named NLL Rookie of the Year.  Byrne helped lead the Bandits to the 2019 and 2022, then won the championship in 2023.  Byrne also plays field lacrosse for the Carolina Chaos in the PLL where he has been named to the ALL-Pro team and helped lead the Chaos to 3 straight PLL Championship appearances, and winning it in 2021.  Byrne has been the Head Coach for BEAST Lacrosse since its inception in 2021.
